"Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good." (1 Peter 4:19)
Suffering while doing good. There is great virtue in that. Not an easy thing to do by any means. But once we learn to "entrust our souls to a faithful Creator" the impossible becomes possible. Our pain becomes a source of ministry unto others.
Here are a couple of things:
Keep praying and interceding for our nation and New York City. Our state has seen a rapid spike in cases: 2,535 with 26 deaths. The rise in cases may be attributed to a more robust testing and that can be a good sign as more infected people are being identified and isolated.
We will livestream our service this Sunday from our home at 10:45 am. Please have a grape juice and a piece of bread on the ready as we will commemorate the Holy Communion right after sis. Cathy leads in the songs.
Psalm 91 tells us not to "fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. One thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand may fall on our right hand, BUT IT WILL NOT COME NEAR us!
Hallelujah and blessed be unto His name forever more!
